How I work
Face to Face Tutoring
I work very flexibly, meeting students at my kitchen table in my home.
Most students choose to book a regular weekly slot, but I have worked with others fortnightly, or intensively in the holidays, or just prior to examinations.
Online Tutoring
Although initially nervous about online sessions, I can safely say now that I think they easily rival the in person experience. I use zoom, and by projecting problems and both myself and the student having the ability to write on the screen we are able to work jointly on problems together in a way that I think surpasses the quality of learning in face-to-face meeting.
I do appreciate, however, that many young people can be sceptical, or very ante online learning after their experiences in lockdown, and I am happy to combine online and in person, or to have some in person sessions first to get to know each other.
I can offer technical support to make sure you get the set-up at home working for your child, and have affliate links to inexpensive products which can help online lessons run smoothly and effectively.
