Lorna is an outstanding teacher and we will be forever grateful for what she did for our daughter. She taught her ways to answer A-Level questions which she understood, remembered and used to improve her grade considerably. Maths is such a difficult A-level, I wish we had found Lorna earlier - and I highly recommend everyone starts lessons as early as possible. Achieving good results comes with confidence, and Lorna built my daughter’s confidence so much that maths became her favourite A-Level. She came out of every lesson with Lorna saying she had learned so much and how everything Lorna was teaching her was making maths at school easier and easier to grasp. I would highly recommend Lorna. She is a real subject specialist, patient, kind and really cares about her students’ progress.

Experienced tutor. Friendly, patient, relaxed and helpful. She worked out the way to explain maths to my child in a way that made sense to him. Highly recommended

Lorna was recommended to my daughter for tutoring her through her final Maths A level paper in which she was lacking confidence; she wanted some extra support. Lorna did a fantastic job at providing this, with a flexible, intensive approach in the last few weeks building up to the exam. She got an A, which was just fantastic.
Our son was then struggling to achieve his predicted grade in his GCSE Maths modules, so we returned to Lorna who coached him through re-sits of two modules, so increasing his grade C to a high B in Unit 2 (by adding 19 marks), and B to an A* in Unit 1 (by adding an amazing 30 marks - he dropped just 4 marks on the while paper). He has just sat Unit 3 and came out of the exam confidently - he is hoping for an overall A for his final result in August and plans to do A level.
Both of our children are very different, with very different learning styles and tutoring needs yet Lorna's approach worked fantastically with both of them. She suggested appropriate amounts of homework for which they both took responsibility and delivered on. She provided regular feedback to us as parents, and was able to increase the frequency of sessions flexibly as the exams approached. My daughter, now at university studying a sociology, commented the other day that she was "missing Maths" and wondered if she should have done a Maths degree - I really don't think we would have heard that if she had not been given that confidence boost by Lorna. Highly recommended.

Our son Robert started to be tutored by Lorna for his GCSE math's last November. He was not overly confident in the subject, but with Lorna's help is on to possibly achieve an A grade, having taken the two papers recently. Providing he gets the grade needed he intends to continue with math's as an A Level, which is something that was never on his mind a year ago.
Most importantly he has also enjoyed his time with Lorna.

I've had tutoring sessions with Lorna for a while now, I've gone from a D to achieving A's with her help. Her style of teaching is brilliant, and she really helps to build your confidence. I'd really recommend her help for any aspect of maths. Thanks!
